The Davey Resource Group Inc Position Announcement POSITION: Contractor Safety Specialist STARTING DATE: Immediately. Resumes accepted until a suitable candidate is selected. The Davey Resource Group (DRG) is currently hiring individuals with previous tree crew experience to join our workforce. POSITION LOCATIONS: San Mateo County, CA
DUTIES: * Work with major electric utility system and its vegetation management department * Perform safety compliance observations on contractor vegetation workers in the field * Observe crews for adherence to mandated safety protocols and procedures * Capture findings and maintain records through cloud based application * Communicate findings with crew and their leadership * Travel throughout central and northern California MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Previous experience working on a tree crew, utility line clearance is preferred * Knowledge of applicable safety standards (ANSI A300, Z133, OSHA 1910) * Organizational skills, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail * Ability to work and hike in rugged terrain and inclement weather * Clean DMV driving record and ability to drive and operate a 4x4 vehicle DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: * TCIA Certified Tree Safety Professional * International Society for Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborist * OHSA 10/ 30hr Training Certificates * Certified Line Clearance Tree Trimmer ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Pay rates based on qualifications and experience.
